There’s a new face at the Cushing Chamber of Commerce – and it belongs to Brent Thompson.  Thompson, who officially took the reins as executive director of the Cushing Chamber of Commerce on Monday, Jan. 4th, made his Cushing debut Tuesday, on the Donna and Molly Show.

“I’m excited about getting back to my Oklahoma roots,” Thompson told listeners.  Those roots run from Prague, Okla. where he was born, to Clinton, Okla. where he was their chamber director.  “I’ve been in the chamber business for over 30 years.”

Thompson’s last stop was in Illinois where his wife Anna and 14 year old daughter still reside.  “We haven’t made the move here yet,” he said, “We want our daughter to finish out the school year. But we’re looking forward to it.”  Until he and his wife find just the right house, Thompson will commute from Tulsa where he is staying with his step mother.

Along with getting back to his Oklahoma roots, Thompson said he is also looking forward to working with the people and businesses in a smaller community.  “I want to make a difference.”

Just like his predecessors, an amiable Thompson agreed to be a regular on the Donna and Molly Show.  “You just let me know and I’d be happy to,” he told KUSH before leaving to continue his second day at the Chamber.  “I appreciate the opportunity.”

And so we did.

Tune in to the Donna and Molly Show each Tuesday morning at 8:30 on 1600KUSH AM radio to hear Thompson’s updates from the Chamber.
