Jack Ray Fritchman, age 55 of Yale, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 7 at First United Methodist Church, Yale with Reverend John Marks presiding. Burial will follow at Lawson Cemetery, Yale.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale.
Jack was born on May 22, 1954 in Stillwater to the late Raymond Eugene and Ora Lavesta (Kizer) Fritchman.
He grew up and attended school in Glencoe, transferring to Yale his senior year graduating with the class of 1972. Jack married the love of his life Kay Berger on February 1, 1975 at First United Methodist in Yale. Jack then joined the Army during the Vietnam era, and lived in Germany and El Paso, Texas during his time in service. Jack worked in electrical maintenance at Webco for 30 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He loved farming, raising cattle, listening to gossip over coffee, and family reunions. He will be remembered as a man who worked hard to provide for his family and a loving parent to his children.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Kay of the home; two sons, Sharif Fritchman and his wife Jolene of Ogden, UT, and Trevor Fritchman of Yale; three brothers, Randy Fritchman and wife Elsie of Yale, Wesley Fritchman and wife Tonya of Glencoe, and Leonard Fritchman and wife Gloria of Yale; sister, Flo Mahaney and husband Wayne of Tahlequah; grandchildren Dalton Fritchman, Linzy Rushton, Felicia Gomez, Phoxie Coria, Shantise Coria, Shanae Gomez, Fernando Gomez, and Jay Gomez; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brother Danny Fritchman, nephew Brock Fritchman, and great nephew Zander Fritchman.
