Cushing Middle School art students are giving a hand to the Festival in the Park committee by using their creativity. Betty Bowen’s art students agreed to the task of making a version of Mr. Potato Head for this year’s Festival.
Rob Smith, Lachenmeyer Arts Center director, was selected as the featured artist this year. His rendition of the famous Edvard Munch painting “The Scream” replaces Munch’s man with Smith’s potatoman which bears a strong resemblance to Mr. Potato Head.
Look for Mr. Potato Head to be at Memorial Park during the Festival this coming Saturday, Oct. 10th.
Rob Smith will be the special guest on the Thoughtful Thursday edition of the Donna and Molly show. Smith’s interview is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8th. Tune in to hear at 1600 AM radio.
