(Stillwater) — Voters in Payne County who want to have absentee ballots mailed to them for the February 5th election should apply now. Although the Payne County Election Board can accept applications for absentee ballots until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30th, Craig urged voters who want to vote by absentee ballot to apply early. Absentee ballot application forms are available at the Payne County Election Board office located at 315 W. 6th, Suite 207, Stillwater, or online at the Oklahoma State Election Board website.

Craig said that any registered voter may vote by absentee ballot in any election in which he or she is eligible to vote. Voters must live within the geographical boundaries of the school district to be eligible to vote in their election. In-Person absentee voting will be conducted in the Payne County Election Board office at 315 W. 6th, Suite 207 on Friday February 1 from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Saturday February 2 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and Monday February 4th from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. for those voters who wish to vote absentee in-person.

Voters can view sample ballots for the February 5th elections on the Payne County Election Board website at www.paynecounty.org, go to election board and click sample ballots.
