(Stillwater, Okla.) — A black 1996 Ford F-350 pickup and a trailer stolen from Troy’s Remodeling during an armed robbery early Saturday were recovered in a field in northeast Stillwater just before 11 a.m. Monday with tools missing, according to a police news release.
The owner, William Troy, told police he was asleep at 3:41 a.m. Saturday when he heard a crashing noise and the motion alarm going off in his shop attached to his house in the 700 block of S. Stallard, Stillwater Police Captain Kyle Gibbs said in the news release.
When the victim went to his shop to investigate, he found two suspects – one armed with a handgun and the other with a metal pipe, Gibbs said.
“After initially confronting the suspects, the victim was able to escape out an exterior door,” Gibbs said.
The suspects were described as white males with their heads and faces partially covered with bandanas and dark cloth, Gibbs said.
Anyone with information in this continuing investigation is asked to call the Stillwater Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit at 405-372-4171 or the TIPS line at 405-742-8327.
