Marolyn “Momo” Joyce Pace Cushing, OK

Marolyn Joyce “Momo” Pace, a long-time resident of Cushing, Oklahoma, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the age of 92.
Momo was born on September 3, 1932, to Harold Douglas Davenport and Mary Ella Elizabeth Davenport (Carter) in Cushing. She grew up and graduated from Cushing High School in 1950. On December 31, 1950, she married J.L. Carr and they had three kids together. After her husband’s passing, she married Paul “P.D.” Pace on May 25, 1965.
She worked numerous jobs, but she was most known for working at the bowling alley with P.D. Momo was an active member at the Church of Christ in Cushing and Yale, where many people knew her as the door greeter. Momo collected essential oils and enjoyed concocting homeopathic remedies for everyone.
Momo is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, J.L. Carr; her late husband, P.D. Pace; and her sisters, Margaret Brassfield and Melba Ruth Pace.
She is survived by her three children: Joyce Pace, Jeff Pace and his wife, Angie, as well as Jay Pace and his wife, Nancy; one bonus daughter, Kathie Duncan; her grandchildren, David Pace, Dustin Pace, Derek Holt, Mark Shelton, Laurie Gegen, Jynna Houtchens, Douglas Pace, Sandra Pace, Kurt Shelton, and Kauleen Shelton; as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Tri-Country Church of Christ in Cushing.
