Frank Edwin Ledgerwood, Jr. Cushing, OK

Frank Edwin Ledgerwood, Jr. of Cushing, OK passed away at the age of 67 on November 14, 2024.

Frank was born in Cushing, OK on November 1, 1957, to Frank Edwin Ledgerwood, Sr. and Marilyn (Creager) Ledgerwood. Over the next few years, he became a big brother to Dan, Stephanie, and Chris. Growing up, the siblings all helped take care of each other and many memories were made. From that time, Frank is remembered as a good big brother who always “had the backs” of his younger siblings, all of whom will cherish memories of growing up with him.

Frank was a member of the Cushing High School Class of 1976. Following graduation, Frank married Beverly Jones, and they remained married until her death in 2005. Frank and Beverly had two children, Greg and Heather, which completed their family.

Frank was employed at the family-owned body shop, Ledgerwood’s Body Shop, for several years. Following that, he worked in the oilfield and a salvage yard for a period. Frank was very skilled as a painter in the body shop, and often painted special designs on vehicles in addition to other work in the shop.

Frank’s hobbies included restoring and painting cars, fishing, and drawing, which he was also very talented at.

Frank was predeceased by his wife, Beverly (Jones) Ledgerwood; parents, Marilyn (Creager) Ledgerwood and Frank Ledgerwood, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Art and Nellie (Wallace) Creager; his paternal grandparents, Hubert and Merle (Cassaw) Ledgerwood; cousins, Sharon (Ledgerwood) Lane and Shellie Porter, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Heather (Michael) Shreck; son, Greg Ledgerwood; his grandchildren; his brother Dan (Susan) Ledgerwood, his sister, Stephanie (Eric) Ledgerwood Brandle, brother, Chris (Johnna) Ledgerwood; paternal uncle Elmer (Larita) Ledgerwood, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
