Benny Joe James, Jr. Cushing, OK

Benny Joe James, Jr. “Joe” was born December 26, 1979, to Sandra Gail (Fitzjarrell) and Benny James, Sr. in Fresno, California. He departed this life January 1, 2025, at the age of 45 years.

Joe enlisted in the United States Air Force following high school and while serving, received his Bachelors in Aviation Technology.

Joe was a member of the Grace Senior Worship in Cushing where he loved socializing with the old folks. Joe also enjoyed spending time with his son and family and had met special friends through his online poker group.

Survivors include his son, Brody Ford, of California; parents, Ben and Sandy James of Cushing; grandmother, Virginia Kaser of Cushing; brother, Joshua James and Stephanie; sister, Ashley Gail Turner; two nieces; one nephew; many aunts and uncles; his church family and many other relatives and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by grandparents, Ronald and Hazel Fitzjarrell and William James, Sr.

A Celebration of his life will be held Monday, January 6, 2025, from 4 pm – 6 pm in the Family Center at the Matherly Davis Funeral Home.
