Sharon Kay Wales passed away at her daughters home, who had cared for her for several years, on September 22, 2008 at the age of 63 years.
The daughter of the late Dillard Wales and Rose Kozak Wales, Sharon was born on November 3, 1944 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska and was reared and educated in Missouri, living in Missouri most of her life before moving to Cushing in 1981.
Sharon enjoyed fishing, crafts, crocheting, playing bingo, cards and other games, and watching tv. She had worked for several different businesses in Cushing, including Cushing Regional Hospital, Valley Hope and Dollar General.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sherry Nelson of Amazonia, Missouri and Brenda McNeal of Cushing; two sisters, Karen Merritt of St. Joseph, MO and Rosalyn McBride of Morrison, OK; five grandchildren, Robert Lee McNeal, Karen Kay McNeal, Todd Nelson, Kristina Nelson and Tara Nelson; four great-grandchildren, Dalton Marschell, Dylan Marschell, Abbilynn McNeal and Austen Patrick Alvin Harris; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends and especially her two dogs Dolly and D.G.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ervin Dean Wales and a brother-in-law, Dennis Merritt.
Services will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 2:30 P.M. in the Davis Memorial Chapel with Reverend Kevin Clouse officiating.
