After a bit of a hiatus, Neighbor of the Week has returned to honor a young man in the community – Mr. Bryan Anderson.

Bryan is the son of Redonna and Mike Anderson and the great grandson of Christine Anderson, long-time owner of the famous Christine’s Restaurant.  Besides inheriting his grandmother’s talent for pie making, Bryan has been instilled with something even more important – a good heart and the desire to help others.  Unfortunately, Bryan has had some physical struggles since being struck by lightning in 2007, however it hasn’t kept him from doing what he can to help others.
Here is what his nominator, Norma Smith (who also happens to be his grandmother), had to say about Bryan:

“I believe that Bryan is very deserving of Neighbor of the Week.  He has always been there to help out whenever needed.  He has offered his home to friends and family when they needed a place to stay.

For instance, when his Uncle Scott passed away, his grandparents needed a place for friends and family to gather.  He offered his home to them to stay – since they live in Texas – and also to gather for lunch and to visit with everyone after the services for Scott.

Before being struck by lightning on June 29, 2007, Bryan mowed lawns for other families.  He has and still does, take his grandmother to buy groceries.  He does for others and never asks for anything in return.

Please consider this fine young man for Neighbor of the Week.  He is 25 years old and a very caring person.”

It is our pleasure to add Bryan Anderson’s name to the list of Neighbor of the Week.  Congratulations Bryan and thanks for all you do!
