Mike F. Queen, owner of Queen’s Coin Jewelry & Pawn, passed away early Monday morning, February 2, 2009 at his home south of Cushing at the age of 58 years.

Funeral services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 5, 2009 in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing with burial to follow in the Avery Cemetery.

The son of the late Robert F. Geesman and Betty Jo (Queen) Geesman, Mike was born on January 26, 1951 in Bakersfield, CA.

Mike had been a member of the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War. While living in the Cushing area, Mike worked for GRDA for 28 years, retiring in 1999. At that time he devoted his full time to Queen’s Coin Jewelry & Pawn a business in Cushing he owned since 1990. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and collecting coins and marbles.

Survivors include his three daughters, Manda Reyes and her husband Roberto of Tulsa, Tina Queen and her fiancé Chris Davidson of Tulsa, and Cheyenne Queen and her mother Kristi Chaney of Cushing; and one grandson, Marcus McCall of Tulsa.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents Otto and Lillie Queen.
