(Cushing, Okla.) Upon arrival Thursday morning, the KUSH Girls – Donna Judd and Molly Payne – noticed a new “lawn ornament” was adorning the front door of KUSH Radio – a purple toilet. According to the sign attached, the ornament represents the drive to flush out cancer. This particular Relay for Life fundraiser is sponsored by Drumright Dental Center, but the KUSH Girls had been targeted by Stephanie and Curtis Baker. Stephanie is an employee of Baker Pharmacy and Curtis is an instructor at Central Tech. Both are huge supporters of Relay for Life.
Also included on the sign – “Plumbing Policies”:
$10 to remove toilet from your yard
$20 to move toilet from your yard to a friend, family member or business’ yard
$30 to move toilet from your yard to a friend, family member, or business’ yard and a guarantee it not return!
After much consideration, the KUSH Girls – along with Mr. Kelly – decided to pay the $20 (plus extra funds raised from the pockets of yesterday’s Donna and Molly Show guests) and “throw down the gauntlet” to their fellow media by sending the toilet on to the Cushing Citizen.
Will the challenge start a “media war of the toilet” between the local newspaper and the local radio station/news website?
I guess we’ll all have to wait and see!
