Gary Douglas Hall, age 50 of Coalgate, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 in Coalgate. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Oilton.
Rev. Larry Calvert will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Oilton.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Oilton.
Gary was born on December 4, 1960 in Castro Valley, California to the late Willis Floyd and Arline Christine (Sieber) Hall. He lived in Freemont, California as a child and moved to Drumright and attended school. Gary worked in the oilfield for a number of years before becoming ill. His nickname was “Goober”. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, working on cars, and talking with family on the telephone regularly. Gary moved to Coalgate in 2004 to raise his daughters. He loved fellowship with friends and especially his family.
Gary is survived by his son Jason Jones and wife Jessica of Oilton, daughters Kassidy Hall of Coalgate, Khristina Powell and husband Wade of Coalgate, Kendra Hall of McAlester, Chelsi Hall of Coalgate, brothers Michael Hall of California, Danny Hall of Lorraine, California, Eddie Shelton and wife Minnie of Lamont, Kevin Floyd of Elk City, sisters Tammy Green and husband Jerry of Oilton, Cathy May and husband Chad of Dallas, Tx., grandchildren Camden Hall, Jaycee Ellis, Gracie Ellis, Emily Neal, Olin Neal, Kiersyn Powell and Kavie Powell.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
