(Cushing, Okla.) Master Police Officer Bill McCarty made a surprise visit Wednesday morning to the Small Miracles Child Development Center on the campus of the First United Methodist Church, which is located at the intersection of 9th and Little. Also joining the presentation this morning were kids from Kiddie Corner Daycare.
MPO McCarty was part of a safety pep talk this morning that focused on getting the kids excited about bicycle safety, stranger danger and not wondering away while playing at places such as the park or while accompanying a parent during a shopping trip.
After the presentation, MPO McCarty handed out stickers, coloring books and safety pup safe kids books.
“One of the most rewarding parts of this job is connecting with the little kids because they are so excited to see you and what they see is someone who is there to help and protect them,” MPO McCarty said.
