(Cushing, Okla.) The Cushing Chamber of Commerce recently threw a pizza party for the student volunteers who helped with this year’s Festival in the Park.
“The kids helped us so much,” Dr. Robert Mullins, Chamber president, said. “I don’t know if we could have done it without them.”
The volunteers were from Coach Crace’s girls basketball team and Coach Shupe’s football team and totaled about 60. The coaches said it was their way of giving back to the community.
“The Chamber wanted to let them know just how much we appreciated everything they did for Festival in the Park,” Mullins said. “So a big THANK YOU from the Chamber.”
