Joseph Lee Jester, a longtime Yale area resident, died Saturday, August 10, 2013 in the Integris Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City, OK following injuries sustained from an electrical accident at the age of 36 years.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday at the Church of God in Yale.  Mike Clark will officiate.  Interment will follow at Lawson Cemetery, Yale, Ok.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale, Ok.

The son of Billy Jester and Linda (Lewis) Jester, Joseph was born on September 17, 1976 in Amarillo, TX.  He was reared and educated in Yale, OK graduating with the class of 1995.

Joseph excelled at sports while in school, playing basketball, football, and track.  He was a 2-time State Champion in the High Jump and even travelled to Europe to compete in several track meets there.  Following high school Joseph began welding where he worked for Skinner Tank and several other companies.  Joseph later began working for A-Ward Electric where he was employed at the time of his death.  Joseph loved working for A-Ward Electric and couldn't have loved the people he worked with more.

In his spare time Joseph loved to be with his son Preston, especially exploring the farm with him.  When he wasn't with his son, Joseph could often be found on the farm helping his dad.  He will be remembered as being a hard worker and as being extremely creative.

Survivors include his son Preston of Tulsa and his mother Kelli Haga; parents, Billy and Linda Jester of Yale; one sister, Tammy Ringgenberg and her husband Russ of Cushing; girlfriend Julie Haikey; one niece, Rachel Jobes and her fiancÚ Rhett Strain; two nephews, Austin Jobes and Walker Jobes; grandmothers, Gladys Jester and Wilma Lewis; and other relatives and friends.

Joseph was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William Jester and Clyde Lewis and one uncle, Roger Jester.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the (Attn: Cindy White) American Heritage Bank, Yale, OK in Preston Jester's name for his education expenses.
