Updated - Oklahoma Highway Patrol Confirms Fatality - Identity released*

Emergency responders and Air Evac on the scene of accident.
(Cushing, Okla.)  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has confirmed that a  fatality resulted from a traffic accident that occurred on the corner of Main and Harmony Road in Cushing.  Witnesses said a Con-Way truck collided with a Fed Ex truck at approximately 2 p.m. this afternoon. 

On the scene - Cushing Police, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Cushing Ambulance and Air Evac. 

Late Wednesday afternoon a representative of the OHP confirmed there was one fatality and the accident was still being investigated. 

*Update: The man killed in Wednesday's accident has been identified as Steven Ray Sharp, 50, of Perkins.  OHP reports indicate Sharp died from trunk and internal injuries at Hillcrest Hospital Cushing.

Reports say Sharp collided with the semi after failing to yield at the stop sign at Harmony Road and Highway 33 intersection.

The driver of the semi was reported to be uninjured.
