An eyewitness told KUSH that a male, believed to be about 18 years of age was at the gym "acting weird"  before the shooting.

"He was trying to pay people five dollars to beat him up. "

The eyewitness told KUSH that the shooting occurred in front of the building and that multiple shots were fired.

The eyewitness said he knew the man.

Units of the OSBI, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Payne County
Sheriff's Department remain at the scene.

Interim Chief Folden said a statement would be forthcoming but could not give a time, as the investigation is ongoing.
