Melody Wickett Norman, former Cushing resident, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2012 in Tulsa at the age of 53 years.
The daughter of Betty Anderson Wickett and the late Jack Wickett, Melody was born on February 6, 1959 in Cushing and was raised and educated in California.
Melody enjoyed spending time with her family, watching NASCAR racing, going to the beach, watching deer, playing bingo, welding, building little gadgets, grooming horses, shopping for her kids and grandkids. She was also known for being adventurous, she loved traveling and sightseeing.
Survivors include her mother, Betty Wickett of Cushing; two children, Matt Stein and his wife Valarie of Stillwater and Ashli Stein of Stillwater; her husband Clifford "Brownie" Norman of the home; seven grandchildren, Brittany Sjodin-Stein, Makayla Stein, Tiffany Stein, Corbin Stein, Keigan Stein, Tiara Cuskey and Lil D (due in November); brother, Randy Wickett and his wife Loretta of Cushing; aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
Melody was preceded in death by her father, Jack Wickett and grandparents, Vergie & Vern Anderson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. in the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Lehr officiating.
Burial will be held in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
The family will greet friends on Friday, May 11, 2012 from 6-8 in the Floyd Family Center.
