
(Cushing, Okla.) Thursday, during pregame, head coach of the Cushing Lady Tigers, Brad Crace, said his team was on a mission for a gold ball. Well Coach, phase one complete! The Cushing Lady Tigers for the past two days got a slow start in the regional basketball games in Purcell, but were able to come back and finish off their opponents to move onto the area tournament in Yukon.
The Lady Tigers defeated the Madill Lady Wildcats 70 to 45 with the majority of the scoring coming from its inside game with Mariah Burris and Che'Ron Lewis with 41 points between the two Lady Tigers. Cushing will take on Blanchard who lost to Mount Saint Mary's 47-43 Saturday night. The Lady Tigers will battle the Lady Lions on Thursday at 1:30pm from Yukon, winner moves on in the tournament loser goes home.
