(Purcell, Okla.)While covering Cushing Lady Tiger basketball in Purcell this weekend for the regional basketball tournament, current rankings were brought to the attention of KUSH sports announcer David Riggs.

Holding the current title for the most points in the season for the state in Class 4-A is none other than the Lady Tigers stand out player Che'Ron Lewis with a total of 384 points and averaging 17.5 points a game this season.  Lewis is joined by 5 other players from Cushing in the top 20 in scoring in class 4A including Taylor Jones who is in 6th place with 213 points over the season and averaging 9.7 points per game.

Cushing also leads the state in total scoring in class 4A with 1215 and averages 55.7 points per game. The Lady Tigers also have the most attempted field goals in class 4A. And are 2nd in class 4A in free throws with 59.4 percent.

And it's not only offenses the Cushing Lady Tigers are all about, they also lead the state in points allowed with only 602 and only giving up 27.4 points per game. 

The Lady Tigers are sure to make those scores go up as they continue their quest for the gold ball. Cushing's next game is Saturday, Feb. 25th at 1:30pm.
