(Purcell, Okla.) In the second round of regional play in Purcell, the Lady Tigers had a rough start against the Bridge Creek Lady Bobcats on Friday afternoon. The Lady Tigers scoring leader Che'Ron Lewis only had 3 points in the first half. Cushing lead at halftime by only four. The Lady Tigers head coach was so upset at the half with the play of Cushing that he literally broke his clip board in half.
However, Coach Crace had to be pleased with the way the Lady Tigers bounced back with Che'Ron Lewis scoring 18 of her 21 points in the second half. The Lady Tigers pulled away from the Lady Bobcats with a 55-40 victory.
Cushing will now take on the winner of the Madill, Purcell game Saturday, Feb. 25th at 1:30. The Lady Tigers are in elimination games throughout the rest of the postseason.
