(Cushing, Okla.)  Cushing Middle School was represented in the OCDA All-State Junior HIgh Mixed Chorus Competition.  Preston Prock, seventh grade student, advanced through three audition rounds, advancing to the state competition, held in OKC on Jan. 14th and 15th.  Beginning with approximately 1500 students from across Oklahoma, the final junior high mixed choir consists of 230 seventh and eighth grade students who advanced through each audition process.  Prock was selected, and attained a spot in the mixed state choir as Alto II.  The conductor for the choir was internationally recognized music director, Henry Leck, from Butler University in Indianapolis.
