(Cushing, Okla.)  A meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 12 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the proposed Methamphetamine Ordinance.   The purpose of the meeting is to give residents, property owners and citizens the opportunity to understand the proposed ordinance.

A meth ordinance was first proposed in early 2011 but was met with some opposition from property owners.  Because of questions and concerned raised at that time, a committee was formed to study and address those issues.

Residents and property owners are strongly encouraged to attend Thursday night's meeting.

A copy of the ordinance can be obtained from Brenda in the City Manager's office or by downloading a copy at www.CushingPD.com

Cushing Police Chief Terry Brannon and Cushing Fire Chief Brent Kerr will be guests on the Donna & Molly Show, Wednesday, Jan. 11th at 9 a.m. to talk about the ordinance and more.  Tune in at 1600 KUSH AM Radio.
