(Cushing, Okla) - The Cushing Tigers opened the 2011-2012 Basketball season with a pair of wins over Blackwell.
The original season opener against Glenpool was canceled because Glenpool remained in the football playoffs last week.
The Cushing Lady Tigers dominated from the outset and defeated the Lady Maroons 53-28.
The Boys game was much closer, but the Tigers pulled away in the 4th quarter to win 47-32.
Cushing led at half 20-19, and at the end of the third 34-28. Cushing gave up only 4 points in the fourth to put the Maroons away.
