Brad Rossiter

Brad Wesley Rossiter, a longtime Cushing resident, passed away September 21, 2011 at his home, after a lengthy illness. He was 36 years old.

The son of Evert Rossiter and Jean Kirkland Rossiter, Brad was born in McKinleyville, CA on November 20, 1974.  He moved with his family to Cushing on November 5, 1981.

He graduated from Cushing High School in the class of 1994, later attending the Drumright Campus of Central Tech, which led to his employment at OneOk in Tulsa until his illness in August 2010.

Brad was united in marriage to Audrey Lee Duvall on June 29, 2002.  They lived in numerous places during their marriage, always moving amongst God's people.  To this union two daughters were born; Pearl Essence, 7 years old, and Ruth Ester, 20 months old.  Pearl was born on the 19th of November and Brad was born on the 20th so they celebrated their birthdays together.  The family had just returned to Cushing when he became ill.

Brad was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Sacramento, CA on August 9, 1990 by Uncle Allen Rossiter.  He loved the Lord and it was evident during his illness that the Lord was well pleased with him.

He enjoyed bicycling with his daughters; playing with remote controlled cars; watching NASCAR, reading his Bible and spending time with his family and friends and most of all, doing what ever he could to help others.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey, of the home; his daughters, Pearl and Ruth; his father and mother, Evert and Jean Rossiter; his brother, Thomas Rossiter and his wife Yvonne of Edmond, OK; his grandmother, Audrey Shumard Bryan and her husband George of Cushing; Aunt Jane Peals of Cushing, Aunt Betty and Uncle Ronald Campbell of Smith River, CA; his Rossiter Uncles and Aunts, Allen and Floye of Cushing, John and Candy, Glenn and Melda and Bill and Lounette all of Agra, OK, Roy and Joanna of Wichita, KS; his niece, Victoria and nephews Alekzander, Jayden, and Izaac of Edmond; his Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Carol Duvall of Ripley and their children, Daniel and Shannon of Cushing, and Michelle of Ripley; lots of cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles and lots more relatives and close family friends too numerous to name.

Brad was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Evert and Syble Rossiter; Uncle Loren Rossiter and Uncle Doug Peals;  cousins Gary Rossiter, Derek Rossiter, Tonya Rossiter, a close friend and cousin who went before him on August 17, 2011.

Brad will be greatly missed by his friends and family who loved to talk God's word and loved to sing with him and listen to him sing.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 at 10 A.M. in the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, 1321 East Ash, Cushing, with Brothers Carlos Combs and Tim Devine of Tahoka, TX, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Parkland Cemetery.
