Employees at Edward Jones, which operates 210 branch offices in Oklahoma - including Cushing, are celebrating! The financial services firm has been named the state's best place to work among large companies.
"OKCBiz" magazine teamed with the Best Companies Group of Harrisburg, Pa. and local partner - Delta Dental of Oklahoma - to rank the state's employers. The ranking was based in part on an anonymous survey of employees. Jim Smith, an Edward Jones financial advisor in Shawnee, said he's naturally pleased, and thinks the top ranking likely makes the firm's clients - the firm works exclusively with individual investors - feel good as well.
Jesse Bain, Edward Jones financial advisor in Purcell, noted that the "Best Places to Work in Oklahoma" honor is the most recent in a series of recognitions the firm has received, including being named one of the "100 Best Companies to Work for in America" by FORTUNE Magazine.
