(Cushing, Okla) - A crowd of about 75 people gathered at the site of the new Cushing Public Safety Center for groundbreaking ceremonies today, where Cushing Commission Chairman Evert Rossiter thanked the community for support of the project. Rossiiter told those in attendance that voters could have voted the project down, by turning down the 8/10 of one cent sales tax extension that was approved last year. The proceeds of the tax will fund the project which is due for completion in August or September of 2012.
