Robert Lee Davis, a Yale resident, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010 in his home at the age of 70 years.

Funeral services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Yale, OK and will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 7, 2010 in the First Baptist Church in Yale with Dr. D. Grant Wyse officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawson Cemetery.

The son of the late Pearl Theo Davis and Lottie Inez (Atchley) Davis, Robert was born in Dallas, TX and was reared and educated in Texas and Oklahoma.  As a young man he worked in the oilfield as a roughneck.  On April 14, 1965 Robert was united in marriage to Janice Ross in Cushing.  The couple made their home in Yale where they raised their family.

Robert worked as an auto mechanic in Yale and in his spare time he enjoyed playing golf with his friends, growing vegetables in his garden, fishing, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Janice of the home; two sons, David Davis and his wife Linda of Yale and Robert "Bobby" Davis, Jr. of Yale; one daughter, Teresa Davis of Yale; six grandchildren, Brandon Davis, Kaleb Glasby, Tyler Willis, April Davis, Emily Prince, and Holdon Prince; and other relatives and friends.
