Cimarron Health Care Center is proud to introduce, Dr. Steven Finley, the newest physician joining us to serve Cushing and the surrounding communities.

Dr. Finley's introduction into the health care industry began in 1995 when he received training as an Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic. He was awarded the Outstanding Service Award by Gov. Keating for rendering exceptional medical services to victims of the May 3rd tornado disaster.

He is a 2005 graduate of the Oklahoma State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Internship in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2006. His residency in Family Medicine was completed at Normal, Illinois in 2008. He is scheduled to take the Family Medicine Board Certification test early 2009 and is a member of the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association.

Dr. Finley heralds Chatfield, Minnesota as his home town but has lived in Oklahoma for over twenty years. He served on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Thoroughbred Association and was active in the "Help America Read" program where he read to children in hospitals.

Dr. Finley has chosen Cushing for his home, and Cimarron Health Care Center, because of his desire to serve rural Oklahoma families in a modern setting. He is ready to become involved with our community and meet the challenges involved with caring for our citizens. Dr. Finley is ready to accept patients who have recently lost their primary care physician. He will be accepting all insurance plans, including Medicare and some Medicaid.
