Ethel Jean Bradley, longtime Cushing resident and retired legal secretary passed away early Saturday morning, March 9, 2019 in Tulsa at the age of 91 years.
The daughter of the late James George Lowe and Oda Martha Hickman Lowe, Jean was born on June 3, 1927 in Agra, Oklahoma and was raised and educated in this area, graduating from Agra High School.
She was united in marriage to Virgil Bradley on May 11, 1947 in Cushing and to this union two sons, David and Rodney were born. Virgil preceded her in death on September 12, 2015.
Jean worked for Montgomery Wards for over 20 years prior to working for attorney Jimmie Wilcoxon. She was a member of the Cushing Christian Church. She was an avid Thunder fan and she enjoyed traveling. Her favorite activity was spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her two sons, David Bradley and Rodney Bradley, both of Tulsa; her siblings, Kathryn Flood of Cushing, Harold Lowe of Cushing, Louise Davis of Tulsa and Ruth Ecker of Edmond; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Hansen and Martha Armstrong and two brothers, George and Richard Lowe.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday, March 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cushing Christian Church (302 South Linwood) with Pastor Jim Forrest officiating.
Burial will follow in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
