Big Sky Media Nashville LLC has acquired independent label Way Out West
Records, which is helmed by Nashville Music Row veteran Clif Doyal.
Also in the deal are Doyal's related artist service companies including
management and booking firm the Clif Doyal Agency, publicity/marketing
arm CDA Promotions-Nashville, and Parrot Picks Publishing Group. Doyal
is a partner in Big Sky and will head the umbrella company as COO.
Oklahoma female Country Rocker Shawna Russell and S.W. Missouri-based
Country band LiveWire will co-headline in concert at The Vanguard, 222
North Main in Tulsa, on Saturday, April 27. Doors open at 7:00 PM and
the show starts at 8:00 PM. General admission tickets to the "all ages" concert are $10.00 and may be purchased in advance online at
www.thevanguardtulsa.com or at the door. The show will be Russell's
second at The Vanguard this year.

John Cooper of the Red Dirt Rangers and the Cushing Country Club are proud to announce their special musical guest, Rick Reiley, songwriter and singer, April 25, from 7 to 9 am at the CCC.
Ripley Project Graduation will be hosting a chuck-wagon style dinner, a
dessert auction and a concert by local country music artist, Jason
Savory. April 6, 2013 6:30pm, Ripley Gymnasium. Tickets are only $10.00
for dinner and the concert. All proceeds benefit Ripley Project
Graduation and the 2013 Ripley Senior Class.

Attention Red Dirt Ranger fans! Third Thursday with John Cooper at the
Cushing Country Club (CCC) will feature a fellow Red Dirt Ranger,
Thursday, Jan. 17th at 7 p.m. Brad Piccolo will join Cooper at the CCC for a
night of great music. This event is open to the public! Non-members
will pay a $5 cover charge to attend.
The word is out - John Fullbright has been nominated for a Grammy for
his Americana album - From the Ground Up. Fullbright hails from Okemah,
Oklahoma and has been touted by many - including KUSH radio in Cushing -
as a "rising star." Other nominees along side Fullbright in the Grammy
Award for Americana album - Bonnie Raitt, Mumford & Sons and
Lumineers.

for Third Thursday with John Cooper. Tickets are now on sale at the CCC
$15 advance/$20 at the door. Cooper (of the Red Dirt Rangers) has
brought a stellar line up of guests to the CCC in 2012 including Monica
Taylor, Randy Crouch, Parker Milsap, Chuck Dunlap,Tom Skinner, Bo
Phillips, Jesse Aycock, Steve Rice, Greg Jacobs, Ben Han and Mike
McClure.

Not one of the contestants in the first ever Red Carpet Karaoke event chose to perform "Singing in the Rain," but had it been held in Centennial Park, the song would have been quite appropriate.Instead, contestants took the stage at the Cushing Community Theatre Saturday night to sing their hearts out.
There isn't much one can buy with a $5 bill these days, but music fans can enjoy an evening of great music for just that at Cushing Country Club. The third Thursday of each month, Red Dirt Ranger John Cooper invites a special guest to share the stage at the Cushing Country Club - and it's open to the public - and usually, it is only $5.
It may have been a cold and blustery day, but the 40th OilPatch
Jamboree & Jog and the Smokin' in the Patch events were enough to
warm the hearts of those braving the elements Friday and Saturday in
Drumright. The event was kicked off with music by the Red Dirt Rangers
as the smell of wood-stoked fires and smokin' meat wafted through
Whitlock Park last Friday evening.
KUSH offered a live video stream of this week's TUESDAY NIGHT MUSIC club, an informal weekly musical gathering in Cushing.
The Drumright Chamber of Commerce will host the 40th annual "Oil Patch
Jamboree" in Drumright on Friday and Saturday, October 5th and 6th, with
two days packed full of family fun and entertainment, including the
world-famous "Oil Patch Parade," live music, the "Jamboree Jog" 5K
walk/run and a barbeque competition.
The Third Annual Stone River Music Festival will be held in Chandler,
OK. September 21 - 23. Signed musicians include the Dustin Pittsley
Band, Jesse Aycock, Wink Burcham, Randy Crouch, Travis Linville, Tom
Skinner, Travis Fite, Steve Pryor, the Klondike 5, the Brad James Band
plus many more talented musicians.
Part of the proceeds will go to the Chandler High School Music Department.
